Hope and Help for Families Impacted by Mental Illness
No Longer Alone Ministries understands that one individual’s mental health diagnosis impacts many lives. Our ministry cares deeply about families, and therefore we provide two services that help families navigate this life-long journey.
Family Support Group
Hope and Encouragement for Families and Friends
Family Support Group (FSG) is a place where individuals who have a loved one experiencing mental illness can find Christian support. Much of the burden of care for persons with mental illness rests on families. This group provides support to these family members and friends. Burdens shared become lighter and group members feel strengthened and empowered for the journey.
The goal of the Family Support Group is to give hope and encouragement to family and friends by presenting educational topics and providing a time to share. Gaining knowledge about mental illness, combined with the prayers and understanding of others who have faced similar situations, have proven to be invaluable.
No Longer Alone Ministries (NLAM) staff is present to offer consultation and support each month. Meetings are normally held on the fourth Sunday of each month (except December) from 3:00 – 5:00 pm at Rossmere Mennonite Church, 741 Janet Ave, Lancaster. Educational program runs from 3-4; Share and Care Groups meet from 4:10 – 5.
